Hunger in the U.S. isn’t caused by a lack of food, but rather poverty.
49 million Americans struggle to put food on the table.

Did you know that 1‍‍‍ in 6 people in America face hunger.

IF YOU'RE A‍‍‍BLE TO FEED YOURSELF DO YOU CONTINUOUSLY ACT FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T?
Here's the questi‍‍‍on that p‍‍‍ushes us.
During the 2016 holiday season, Greater24 created a project to benefit multiple causes within one campaign called the Greater24 Holiday Hurricane. The campaign included a food drive, toy drive and a charity breakfast that raised funds to fight diabetes through the Healthy Living Center Foundation. The campaign was sponsored by Applebee’s and Guisela‍‍‍ ‍‍‍Torres, a progressive life insurance agent with New York Life.

The food and toys were collected from community drives over a few weeks while being promoted by the Greater24 Network that involved several Applebee’s locations. The items were donated to the Union Mission organization that houses, feeds, and provides educational classes to the homeless.

The Greater24 Feed The Cause project was inspired from the results of the campaign. It was overwhelming when a follow up letter from the Union Mission was sent to the Greater24 Network advising that the campaign contributed to feeding over 700 people. This motivated the Greater24 team and the Greater24 Peers to go after feeding the homeless as often as possible verses waiting for the next holiday season.Greater24 Feedback

It’s an amazing opportunity when we’re able to create the projects that really helps someone in need.

Getting involved is easy. One individual can always make the difference. Simply send an e-mail with your contact information to see what we're serving and what you can donate. All supplies are used to prepare food and meals for the homele‍‍‍ss with the Union Mission.

Spreading the word is extremely important. It not only raises awareness for the purpose but it inspires others to use their resources and creativity to build solutions locally and abroad. As you see Facebook updates on this page, feel free to like, share, and comment with something encouraging to the team.
