On Thursday, December 15, 2016 the Virginia Beach Field House (VBFH) held a celebratory social event in honor of the field dedication to the Greater24 Network. VBFH is one of the largest indoor sporting complexes on the east coast with 175,000 sq ft. The event was attended by local leaders, executives, business professionals, and a representative of Congressman Scott Rigell. Virginia Beach Mayor, Will Sessoms spoke about the positive developments within the city that mimic the purpose of Greater24 and expressed his support. Greater24's National Brand Director, Chance Wilson spoke of the various developments by Greater24 in progress and what to look forward to with the new field. A representative from Applebee's spoke about the companies relationship with Greater24 and its impact on their business and increased community involvement. Greater24 has pioneered the fusion of creating all positive TV shows, publications, campaigns and events since its inception in 2014. Greater24 has raised awareness for a multitude of community causes that now reach over 40 cities and 7 countries with engaging media, social campaigns and events.
Greater24 has been recognized through various media outlets. From coordinating interviews with Kris “Tanto” Paronto, a surviving soldier from the Benghazi attacks, creating commercial food TV shows that feature area restaurants, to being the media partner for the India Festival and supporting breast cancer awareness through a partnership with Susan G. Komen Tidewater. Greater24 has changed the expectation of today’s broadcast media alongside social projects. The field dedication launched a new division of Greater24 into the sports arena. The dedication also spoke to the community development commitment by the Virginia Beach Field House and their efforts to inspire area citizens. This will allow a focus on raising awareness for the power of fitness and the positive efforts taken by athletes to support their community. The dedication makes a strong example to all generations but especially to the youth. It shows that positive projects can grow from any level to influencing the sports industry. These examples are needed that encourage creative thinking in incorporating the power of positive.
To stand in the middle of such an amazing field and see the Greater24 brand across it left us speechless. To see a positive network presented on a sports level fueled our hearts and ignited our imagination.
